Purpose:
Cluster HR Director from Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi will be based in Mozambique and will report to Cluster General Manager and will be the face of HR within the business. To direct, co-ordinate and improve the activities of the Human Resource functions.
Duties and responsibilities:
To enhance and/or maintain the current HR processes and policies (e.g. Recruitment, Induction, Performance Management, Disciplinary process, etc.)
To advise managers on HR related issues and assist where necessary with certain related deliveries.
To identify and develop appropriate organizational development interventions e.g. team effectiveness.
To run key HR initiatives, from inception to completion.
To provide a confidential counseling service to managers and staff.
Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices. Provide an effective, consistent and timely delivery of HR services to support organisational needs
To offer HR support and advice to management and staff to ensure the enhancement of both employee engagement and performance levels
Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices which provide an effective, consistent and timely delivery of HR services to support organisational needs
Implement , monitor and control Employment Equity objectives.
To act as the focal point for all Union related manners, including but not limited to Union negotiations and Bargaining Council negotiations.
Providing legal advice when required to do so.
Involved with collective bargaining / consultation with Trade Unions
Consulting with employees and managers on labour related matters.
The evaluation of risks specifically related to non-compliance with legislation and policy
Facilitating of training for supervisors/ managers on ER related Matters
Providing advice and assistance to Bolloré Logistics Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe management on Employee Relations matters
Employee Relations, legal and industrial relation services and support
Industrial and employee relations management
Provide expertise and support to Line Managers
Ensure compliance with labour legislation and legal practice through audits and maintenance functions with labour legislations
Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager
Recruitment:
Manage and oversee the full recruitment function from the recruitment request received from managers to engagement
Ability to support managers to draft job descriptions
Ability to draft advertisements (internal and external)
Ensure documentation and files are kept updated
Conduct survey and advise salary benchmarks
Conduct interviews at all levels with the managers
Liaise and manage recruitment agencies; negotiate rates
Hand competed recruitments to HR Administrator to prepare and mail contracts and other relevant paperwork to successful applicants
Assist Payroll Manager with statistics for reporting purposes
Investigate universities partnerships and establish partnerships with the more relevant universities
Training:
Oversee the training function within the HR department
Ensure training needs are carried out in terms of sourcing for service providers, negotiating training costs, planning and booking of training etc.
Performance Management:
Ensure that the performance appraisal process is followed by all the managers and collect all the appraisals in due time
Employee Relations:
To act as the focal point for all Union related manners, including but not limited to Union negotiations and CBA negotiations
To offer HR support and advice to management and staff to ensure the enhancement of both employee engagement and performance levels.
Provide guidance and support when dealing with poor performance.
Ability to interact proactively with management and staff at all levels of the organisation in the resolution of HR issues.
Participation to all disciplinary and grievance processes.
Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices which provide an effective, consistent and timely delivery of HR services to support organisational needs.
Efficiently manage HR queries.
Oversee employee engagement, termination, promotions, increase; leave administration processes with accuracy and efficiency.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
HR Manager or Senior HR Consultant experience - 5 years (essential).
Degree in HR
Sound knowledge and experience in: Labour Relations, HRM practices, Recruitment and selection
